Birthday Card

April is a busy birthday month in our household, the main two birthdays are my husband, Chris, and eldest son, Jake. But several friends also have April birthdays.
This is the card Lucy made for her Dad for his birthday, she used her stash and my tools.
The card did not turn out how she originally designed it in her head but as she said this one is better.
Lucy used Basic Grey paper that coordinated with her red card.
The letters are cut from a Tim Holtz die, I think it is called type set.
The circles are made using two circle punches, it is a happy accident that they are offset.
Her Dad loved his card, especially as Lucy made it.

Birthday Card.

I made this card for my son's girlfriend, she loves girly and would love to be a princess one day!!
This is made the same way as I made the 1st birthday card in February.
These cards look excellent framed and can be personalised with just about any name.

Telephone Box

This is another set of cards I made using Sylvia's 'Feeling Sentimental' stamp set.
I made these with my Father in mind, he has a thing about telephone boxes, so in the future I may make a box to store the cards in as a gift for him.
I stamped the phone box image in brown then coloured it in using my reddest promarker. Next I coloured around the edge of the phone box with a light grey pen, I also used the same pen to add shading to the windows. The punched edge is in kraftcard.
I matted the stamped image onto brown then red card. The backing paper is from Echo Park, I think it is called Rock Star. I then made two paper strips using the reverse of the EP paper and washi tape.
My best brainwave was to put the dictionary explanation of a phone box onto the card, to do this I copied the dictionary page through my printer.
I love the modern bright look of this card.

Penny Farthing

I was lucky enough to be lent the 'Feeling Sentimental Stamps' from Stampin Up by Sylvia.
I really wish I had got them when I had a chance but I didn't.
For this card I took inspiration from pictures I found by googling the stamp name.
The card is A5 size, I do not usually make cards that big, but these look fine.
I used the masking technique to line the bikes up, on my practise one I forgot to check the both bike wheels were on the ground so a couple of the bikes were just balanced on their front wheel!!!
I used distress ink to stamp the images and to create the background colour.

Cup Cake Boxes

I had to share these delicious cup cakes with you, Lucy made them for her Grandparents as Easter gifts, well she made the cakes and I had to make the cup cake boxes to her specification which was absolutely no decoration.
The cakes were lovely and light to eat, we had to eat them while Lucy was not about, a hard task but we were up for the challenge.
Lucy's Grandparents were delighted with the cup cakes and she was quite rightly very proud of herself.

Owl Card

During the Easter Holidays while sorting out my crafty stash I found a pack of papers that I got free with a card magazine. You know how it is, you collect loads of things and the pile slowly becomes bigger and bigger and taller and taller.
Well as soon as I rediscovered this paper pad I knew thay would make great owl cards.
The owl is made from Stampin Up's owl builder punch, the tree branch is cut on the cricut using Winer Woodland and the mini tag is also from Stampin Up.
The flowers on the branches are made using a mini flower punch I have had forever and stickles is added to middle of the flower.
Hope you like my quick make cards!!!

Wedding Acceptance.

I have been invited to a friend's evening do when she gets married in May, the invite is the one on the right of the picture. The actual invite is hand made using silver and white, I knew when I replied I wanted the acceptance card to match the original invite.
I used the computer to print the wording in light grey so that it looked silver. The hearts are made by punching out silver mirri board and then I added the tiny gem under the hearts.
My friend really liked the acceptance card, but it is all down to her stylish good taste.
