Allium Card

I first saw this style of card in 'Craft Stamper' about two years ago, in the magazine the orange square should be created from distress inks of varying shades.
But this card came from a 'happy mishap'
When I was inking up my card the ink ran and bled everywhere, but as I am frugal (not tight) I cut a square of orange card sprayed it with walnut gold spritzer then added a brown matt.
I attached this topper to my card font over my inked mess then stamped the allium image using brown stazon, then added the stitching and gems. The whole effect was very similar to the original inked effect I wanted to recreate.
What I have learnt from this is that not all card bargain's are bargain's.

70th Birthday Card

This card as made for one of my uncles but with his mum in mind as she loves teddies, we also asked her what it was like to have two pensioners for children, she did see the funny side luckily.
The teddies come from a kit that I got from craftbuddies and the paper is a freebie from one of the craft magazines.

Desk Tidy

I found the instructions for these fantastic desk tidies whilst browsing various blogs. The blog is called
Cards Made By Hand, take a look there are some wonderful designs on there. I am very pleased with these, they will be handy to keep by the telephone or on my Dad's desk in his office.
I adjusted the size so I could cut my computer paper into the most squares possible with as little paper wastage as possible for the note paper.

Instead of putting notelets in the back pocket I found some post it notes in the size I needed.
I added patterned paper only as these
are going to be gifts for males.

Filofax Dividers

I am amazed at how much interest has been shown in the filofax dividers I make, they are great fun to create, these ones were made as a special order for the owner of cutie cake charms, Patience.
Patience wanted six dividers made, two that were normal dividers,
Two with slide in pockets,
and two with flaps like envelopes.
She wanted bubbly funky colours, she is a very bubbly, funky person.
These dividers fit a pocket filofax.

This is the card we will be making at the Craftbuddies Crop on January 14th held at Taverham Village Hall this month.
One of the regulars at the crop asked for a tea bag fold card, I hope she likes it.
The inspiration for this card comes from the papercraft essentials magazine.

Thank You Card.

These cards are ones I made for the children where I work, they always love to get thank you's, I think it is important to show children the 'old fashioned' way of saying thank you.
I did get some very special presents from them.

I needed 14 cards so I designed one that was quick to put together.
The cards are made using the top note die from stampin up, the blue/green is half a top note, with a gold peel off to hide the join. The thank you is stamped directly onto the card front. The flowers are made using Tim Holtz die, it is the smallest flower.
The swirls are from the cricut Wedding cartridge.

Thank You Card

I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas and enjoyed seeing in the new year. My family are looking forward to a good 2012.

I recieved lots of lovely presents and made these cards to say thank you.

I got the paper from http://www.craftbuddiespapercrafts.co.uk/ It's doubled sided.
To make the card I cut the paper to fit the cad blank then cut a 4.5cm bit off the end, turned it over then attached both parts to the card base. I added a very thin gold pel off along the join. Next I punched a scallopd edge a long a piece of the same paper, trimmed it to the width I wanted then added a pink strip of paper as a highlight. I attached this to the bottem of the card. I then stamped thank you onto cream card and used my scallop circle stampin up punch to cut that out. I then inked round the edge of the card and scalloped circle using frayed burlap DI. The circle was then matted onto a bigger circle which was then matted onto a square top note shape in gold. To finish the card off I added three small pink gems to the pink strip.
