Draw of Cards

I love the colours of the paper I used for this project, they are my colours.
This draw of cards holds four 3"x3" cards and envelopes, this time I made all the cards the same.

The roses were made using a die I have used many times before, they are English roses, I have added stickles rock candy glitter to the edges of the roses but it cannot be seen very well in the photograph. After I took this picture I decided to finish the drawer by lining it with green card stock.

I used my Martha Stewart cherish punch to shape the cards and for the decorative panel on the top of the drawer holder.

Christmas Planner

Here are the pictures from the weekend workshop in Taverham.

We all had great fun making a Christmas Planner Book in the morning and in the afternoon we made a Christmas Acetate 6x6 Scrapbook.
Morning Workshop

The Christmas Book has six dividers in and plenety of paper for plans and reminders to be written down, there is even a section for favourite Christmas receipes to be kept. Along with the dividers are pockets to store receipts from gift purchases and food.

Handbags

These little handbags are adorable, they are just the right size to hold a gift card (the ones that are like credit cards). They are best made from double sided paper that is not to thin. I used 6"x6" paper for these handbags but have also used 12"x12" paper for a larger handbag (I made one as a gift holder to put a scarf in for my sister's birthday).
The look of the handbag can be changed by making the handles differently or by making the base of the bag wider. The handles can either be attached to the outside of the handbag using brads or attached to the inside of the handbag.

Using different colours makes these handbags all different, the larger ones almost appear to be real bags. They can be inked to give a worn look or stamped and embossed to add texture.

The clasp is held in place with DS tape and magnets to keep it closed. The handbag can either have a clasp that goes over the top or magnets can be glued in place on the inside of the handbag top as in the first picture.

Note book.

I love making these little note books, this one was for a boy who loves cars and bright colours. This paper called Little Boy by Echo Park filled every criteria.
I put glossy accents on each vehicle's wheels, I wanted to add texture to the note book. The boy I made this for was very pleased with it and started drawing in it straight away.

Filofax Dividers.

I made this set of dividers with men in mind, I am aware that my other designs are very feminine. Whilst looking through my stash I came across the paper ruler that I have used here, how or why I have it I do not know, but it in true measurements and inked up well so I went with it. As the ruler was only paper I made it stronger with glossy accents which will also protect it. the photograph does not really do this divider justice.

These dividers are to fit an A5 Filofax.

The back of these dividers are covered with paper from Echo Park, from the Little Boy set.
The tab is punched from a stampin up punch. The ink I used is shabby shutters, crushed olive and brushed corduroy.

I am really happy with this set of dividers, I love the way colour and individual style can be added to a very practical everyday item.

Thank You Card

I make this card as a thank you card, I have a selection of peel offs that I keep handy just in case I need to make a card quickly. I layer the peel offs onto pearlesent paper, cut out then attach to the card with foam pads that also hold the wire stems in place.

The bottom of the stems are held in place with vellum that I put through Lucy's xyron. Sometimes I add a mini tag that says thank you and sometimes I tie green ribbon round the stems for leaves, I have also sometimes embossed the vellum before putting it through the xyron. I usually ink around the edge of the card. For some reason I always use a square card base, the smallest size I have made this is 3"x3", the largest is 6"x6",

Stamp Holder

I regularly buy Craft Stamper magazine (which is fab) and save the stamps (which are great) but when you
have a whole pile of these free stamps where can you store them!

Well I made these boxes to store mine in.

They are made from cardstock 6.5"x7.5", which is scored, cut, glued then covered.
  Scroll down for the instructions.

 Cut cardstock to measure 6.5"x7.5".
Score at 2" on all four sides, then fold.
Cut where I have marked the red lines and fold in.
Glue in place with the flaps on the inside of the box.

Cut patterned paper to measure 2"x12"
Starting at the back, attach to the outside of the box. (I used wet glue so I could slide the paper to where I wanted it) You will need to add another small piece of the paper at the back as the box is bigger than 12" all the way round.

Next add ribbon or co-ordinating paper to the top of the box, this finishes the box off nicely. Finally I stamped the word 'stamps' onto a scrap bit of card, cut round it and inked the edges then attached this to my box front.
The finished box measures 2.5"x3.5", they look great lined up together.

Strawberry Gift Box and Card Class

This is the class for the 'Craft Buddies Crop' on 9th July at Tithe Barn, Horsford.

If you wish to do the class book a place through 'Craft Buddies', equipment required is; scissors, glue or double sided tape, a bone folder, pencil and black or charcoal ink.

As I have spent the last two weeks watching Wimbledon I thought this card and mini gift box were appropriate, even though I do not like to eat strawberries I do like to make them. The mini box is large enough to hold a chocolate or a piece jewellery.
